The Meta PWR is the end-loaded version of Louisville Slugger's EKO composite Meta platform, pairing a soft flex connection with added barrel weight for stronger hitters. The flex-connection design lets the handle work independently of the barrel, absorbing vibration on off-center contact and giving the swing a smooth, connected feel through the zone. The -3 drop carries real barrel weight for its class. Hitters with strength and an on-time trigger will convert it into extra carry; hitters who start late will cut off their own bat speed. This is a sensible pick for gap-to-gap hitters who refuse to choose between control and carry — the configuration splits the difference credibly. The soft connection that makes it comfortable also filters feedback — hitters who diagnose their swing by feel will get less information per mishit than a stiffer build provides. Pricing reflects a clearance or phase-out situation rather than a defect — buy on performance-per-dollar, but do not expect the model to be restocked once sizes sell through. As with any composite, expect reduced performance and elevated crack risk in cold weather — keep it warm before games and out of sub-60°F batting practice. Plan on a genuine break-in period — a few hundred quality swings, rotating the barrel — before the barrel reaches full response.
