The Tantrum is Easton's senior-softball line; Greg Connell configurations carry his preferred loading, with Motherload marking Easton's maximum end-load build. The end load is present but manageable — enough mass behind the 12.75" barrel to add carry, not so much that the bat swings like a sledgehammer. It serves the broad middle of hitters well: enough barrel to do damage on a flush swing, enough control to survive a late one. Few players will feel mismatched to it. The main caution is the standard composite one: it needs its break-in swings before peak response arrives, and it should be kept out of cold-weather batting practice. Cold weather is a real factor: composite response drops noticeably below roughly 60°F, and thin-walled barrels crack more easily in the cold. Keep it indoors before early-spring games and use a beater bat for cold cage work. A moderate break-in gets it to peak; it will play close to its best within the first few sessions.
